We were delighted that members of Harrogate Roundtable came to HHP’s Springboard Day Centre again this year to cook a Christmas meal for thirty clients on Christmas eve, spreading festive cheer at what could otherwise be a tough time of year.

Founded in 1949, the Harrogate & District Roundtable are a local non-profit organisation who do valuable work within the community,  and have been a frequent and appreciated supporter of Harrogate Homeless Project over the years.

On Christmas eve, the Roundtable also kindly presented HHP with a cheque of £1,500 as a donation from the 2023 Stray Bonfire. Each year, the bonfire is organised entirely by the Roundtable, with the proceeds going to local charities, and it remains one of the few privately organised bonfires that is completely free to the public. HHP were grateful to once more be chosen as the partner charity in 2023.

Francis McAllister, CEO of Harrogate Homeless Project said: “We can’t thank the Roundtable enough for their continued help and support”

“As a local independent charity, we are so grateful to the generous community we have around us in Harrogate. Donations from organisations like the Roundtable is essential for us to continue providing support to people experiencing homelessness in the Harrogate District, and aiding their transition back to independent living.”
