Make a Spring Splash for Harrogate Homeless Project

Harrogate Homeless Project is encouraging people to get swimming this spring and raise money for the charity’s 30th Anniversary appeal.

The Spring Splash challenges the local community to individually swim three kilometres during April, which is the equivalent of 120 lengths in a 25 metre pool.

Swimmers can choose to take on the challenge in a day or across the month so any ability can take part, regardless of preferred stroke style, or swim pace.

People who are experienced in open water swimming may choose to do their 3K outdoors instead of in a local pool.

Chair of Trustees Jenni Moulson, who is a keen wild swimmer, said: “I’ll be swimming my three kilometres in some of my favourite outdoor swim spots and I’ll be doing everything I can to raise awareness of the fantastic work done by HHP in the local community.

“This is a great chance to take part in a fun community event and raise money to support the charity’s goal of expanding its day centre services.”

To get involved go to justgiving.com, create a page for your challenge, select Harrogate Homeless Project as your charity and set a personal fundraising target.
