Harrogate Homeless Project is inviting friends and colleagues to put the kettle on and raise money for the charity on National Tea Day, Thursday April 21.

Labelled “Cuppa Tea for HHP” the campaign encourages local people, community groups and businesses to host a fundraising tea party or coffee morning to support the charity’s 30th Anniversary fundraising campaign.

The charity was founded in 1992 and celebrates its 30th birthday this year. A series of events and themes are planned throughout the year to make it as easy as possible for people to get involved in fundraising.

Chair of Trustees Jenni Moulson said: “We’re asking people to grab a brew, bake a cake and invite friends and colleagues to join them to raise money for HHP.”

“We’d love as many people as possible to organise events on April 21 and send us photos so we can share them on social media,” she added.

“Every penny raised will make a real difference to the lives of people experiencing homelessness in the Harrogate district and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has already pledged their support,” Jenni said.
