Day Services (Springboard)

Wesley House, Oxford Street, Harrogate, HG1 1PP

Springboard is our day service for homeless or vulnerably housed people in the district. We are open Monday – Friday 10.00am to 2.00pm, located behind the Wesley chapel, opposite the Jubilee Car Park (Wesley Chapel House, Oxford street HG1 1PP).

Springboard offers hot and cold food and refreshments, a laundry service and also has shower facilities. We provide help and advice regarding homelessness issues and work with other agencies for specialist advice.

There are different activities for service users to get involved in, including a gardening group, photography group, computer classes and artwork, this depends upon both volunteer and service user involvment and time of year.

Springboard employs 2 part time workers and relies on volunteers to help with food preparation, supervising service users and the general smooth running of the service.

Our partner agencies offer specialist support:

  • Stonham Tenancy Support: housing issues
  • CRI: drug treatment options, BBV testing and vaccinations
  • Community Alcohol Team: alcohol support and detox
  • Probation Service links
  • Legal aid assessments for family law matters
