What fundraising means to the Harrogate Homeless Project
We are not a revenue producing project and have to seek financial support from local and national sources. Only 63% of the day to day funding is currently covered by grants from the Government’s Supporting People scheme, Housing Benefit and Harrogate Borough Council and there is no confirmation that this level will be sustained in the long term.
This means that we rely on the generosity of local individuals, churches and groups to support our work. Please click here to donate securely on-line using your credit or debit card. All individual donations made by UK taxpayers can be Gift Aided, including on-line transactions. If you prefer to donate by cheque, please make cheques payable to Friends of Harrogate Homeless Project and send to 7 Bower Street, Harrogate HG1 5BQ. Please consider enclosing our gift aid form which allows us to claim the tax back on any personal donation, at no extra cost to yourself. Email contact@harrogate-homeless-project.org.uk for a copy.
Harrogate Homeless Project is now registered on www.justgiving.com/hhp so that our supporters can now donate online. Justgiving provides an easy and secure way of donating to the Project using a debit or credit card and if you are a UK taxpayer we are able to claim Gift Aid on your donation at no additional cost to yourself. Please help to support the work of the Harrogate Homeless Project during the cold weather; your support is greatly appreciated
Golfers invited to tee off for Harrogate Homeless Project!
The Friends of Harrogate Homeless Project are looking for teams to compete in a Charity Golf Day on Thursday 26th June 2008 at Flaxby Park Golf Club, Knaresborough. Elaine Harrison, fundraising co-ordinator for Harrogate Homeless Project said "It costs £1,000 a week on top of statutory grants to run the Project. The generosity of our sponsers and Flaxby Park Golf Club means that every penny we raise on teh day will go to the Charity".
The Golf competition, which is sponsored by Skipton Glass, will run from 10am to 2pm and is open to men and women in teams of four. There will be prizes for best female player, best male player, nearest the pin and longest drive.
Non-golfers can also support Harrogate Homeless Project at a barbecue at Flaxby Park Golf Club that evening, from 6pm to 8pm. Chef Bruce Grey promises an Aussie style barbecue, which will be followed by the presentation of prizes and trophies to the winning golfers.
Golf fees are £25 with barbeque tickets £15, but a combined ticket for both the golf competition and barbeque is just £35. For more information about the day or to secure a tee time or a barbeque ticket, please contact Elaine Harrison on Elaine@friendsofhhp.co.uk
