Harrogate Borough Council has decided to commission the Harrogate Homeless Project to provide a Cold Weather Provision Service for the winter of 2010/11. 

The service is known as STARS (Shelter To Assist Rough Sleepers) and will be located at: ‘Springboard’ Day Centre, Wesley Chapel House, Oxford Street HG1 1PP.  Tel: 01423 525384

Referrals can be made by phone or in person to:

•  Springboard Day Service, Wesley Chapel House, Oxford Street, HG1 1PP. Telephone: 01423 525384
•  Springboard is open between 10.00 – 2.00pm Monday to Friday.  At all other times, referrals can be made to:
•  Harrogate Homeless Project, 7 Bower Street, HG1 5BQ. Telephone: 01423 566900

Clients will be advised to present at STARS (at the Springboard premises, Wesley Chapel House), from 9.30pm that evening.

All service users will receive:

• A bed (camp bed) with sleeping bags and liners
• Additional blankets and bedding as required
• Towels and toiletries
• Laundering of bed linen, sleeping bags, towels etc
• Basic hot meal each evening
• Toilet and shower facilities
