Our Services

7 Bower Street: Direct Access Night Hostel

• 9 beds, open 7pm-9am, 365 days per year. We provide emergency accommodation for single people over the age of 18 who are homeless.  Clients must have a local connection to the Harrogate area, although if a bed is available we may offer one night to those from outside the area.
• All food is provided, on a self-catering basis, with communal kitchen facilities and a TV lounge.
• Clients receive advice regarding accommodation and signposting to other agencies where appropriate.  Outreach Support following move-on is offered.
• Access to the hostel is through self-referral by phone or on the door, however we also accept referrals from other agencies, including Harrogate Borough Council, Probation, Harrogate Drugs & Alcohol Agency, the Police and hospital.

8 Bower Street: Supported Housing

• 6 individual bedrooms with shared lounge, bathrooms and kitchen, available as temporary accommodation under Occupational Licences.
• All clients are currently homeless, having previously stayed in the night hostel at No.7 Bower Street.  We work with all clients to secure suitable move-on accommodation and provide advice and guidance on other issues they may be facing.

All clients, no matter how long their stay, are offered individual support and life skills training, with advice and support towards sustaining independent accommodation.  There is joint working with other agencies to provide the appropriate specialist support.

Drop-In Service

The Drop-In runs 5 sessions a week (Monday - Friday) and is located to the rear of No.8 Bower Street.  It caters for those who are homeless, facing homelessness or who are vulnerably housed.

The Drop-In provides food and refreshments, free laundry and shower facilities and the opportunity to access help and advice regarding homelessness issues.  The Drop-In is open between 11.00am and 1.30pm each weekday.
